Well, we'd like to have, and feel like we have, the concern for our patients when they call in and they're hurting, to get them in just as soon as possible. We usually set aside during the week at least an hour or so every day. Slide time, we kind of call it, because you have to try to slide, move things around to accommodate somebody who's hurting. When they're hurting, there's no time to wait what they're hurting, and because of why they are hurting is difficult to determine. You can't always tell that the cause or problem that they're having over the phone, especially. So we need to get people in to see what it is that's causing the problem.
Now, truthfully, you can't always a hundred of the time get somebody in and treat them right then and there for what's wrong because they may have to be put on antibiotics. They may have to have some things done before we're able to restore their teeth, or fix what's wrong, treat what's wrong. So we make time for our friends of our patients or from new patients every day.
Although you may be tempted to take a “wait and see” approach to your dental problems, seeing an emergency dentist is essential to:
- Put an end to your pain and discomfort
- Prevent further damage to your smile
- Preserve your natural teeth
Dental problems can ruin a vacation if you let them. You should be able to enjoy eating at restaurants with your friends and family, and you should have a beautiful smile in all your photos! With our same-day appointments, we can help you avoid losing even one day of your special trip.
Repairing your smile’s appearance can also have social repercussions you may not have considered. Keep your confident grin and save your smile by calling us immediately at 843-314-4877.

Pain is not the only indicator that there is something wrong. If you experience any of the following, call us immediately:
- Broken or lost permanent tooth
- Pain that has subsided in your tooth
- Discoloration like a bruise
- Bleeding from your mouth
Sometimes harm to your smile doesn’t hurt because the nerves in your tooth have died. Failure to treat this can result in extensive damage later on. It’s always better to see us for a root canal to preserve your tooth than to have an abscessed tooth extracted. And if you have any nervousness or anxiety about an emergency dental procedure, be sure to ask us about laughing gas!
